Business Tranformation
Senscape has successfully executed strategic, operational, organizational, and financial transformations.
Companies in need of change, often accompanied by financial distress, have a distinct set of short- and long-term needs.
We have created a systematic approach that addresses three key elements essential to making change successful; the operational, cultural ,and analytical elements of successful change.
Our lean capabilities support clients in all phases of their transformation, from initial small pilot tests to ambitious, enterprise-wide transformation programs. Media companies in need of turnaround have a distinct set of short- and long-term needs.
Turnaround
For media companies in financial distress, our goal is to reach clients early - ideally, 12-18 months before a potential in-court restructuring would be required - where there are still the resources and time to fundamentally change the trajectory of their performance.
However, when a media company has already chosen its "exit strategy", Senscape has the right mix of expertise to support our clients during this process as well.
Our services support clients throughout all stages of restructuring:
We identify a company's key value drivers - targeted operational areas for rapid improvement
We create detailed strategic, operational, financial, and organizational plans to chart the progress of business restructuring and/or chosen exit strategy
We create transparency, accountability, and facilitate communication between the numerous parties, both internal and external, who are involved in the restructuring and/or exit strategy to maximize shareholder value
Change Management We have created a systematic approach that addresses three key elements essential to making change successful; the operational, cultural ,and analytical elements of successful change.
Change efforts typically fail because those involved don’t recognize the importance of - and adequately address - all three elements. Our integrated approach creates lasting change. We will work closely with you to:
Build the change agenda, create a compelling vision, and define the desired behaviors and culture
Mobilize the organization at all levels to support and drive the changes
Hardwire the changes by aligning the organization, processes, and IT
Manage the change process with discipline, rigor, minimal bureaucracy, and appropriate oversight
Communicate effectively throughout the transformation
Develop an enduring capability to change
Change management and knowledge transfer - We don’t believe in “cookie-cutter” approaches. Strongly hierarchical organizations present different challenges than highly entrepreneurial ones. Organizational culture matters and the lean approach must be customized accordingly.
A strong and ongoing communication plan speeds the adoption of principles, techniques, and tools. But sustainable change also depends on buy-in and behavioral change at all levels of the organization.
Our proven change management expertise makes this happen. We also transfer our capabilities and project management expertise to client teams so they can continue change management after we leave.
Lean Our lean capabilities support clients in all phases of their transformation, from initial small pilot tests to ambitious, enterprise-wide transformation programs.
Lean strategy - An effective lean program begins with a clear strategy that states the program’s objectives and defines the path forward. We work with our clients to define a strategic, customer-centered approach and priorities that will deliver the greatest impact, and ensure that objectives are aligned with overall corporate strategy.
Program design - We design the program scope and priorities for maximum business and financial impact, and ensure that the roll out scope, pace, sequence, and timing accelerate and sustain financial results and competitive differentiation.
Proven implementation - Many lean programs fail because they try to do too much too soon or because they are left to be bottom-up movements. Although lean programs must be ambitious and far-reaching to drive real change, we start with meaningful, thoughtfully scoped projects that focus on the highest-priority areas. Working closely with our clients, we use these pilots to refine new ways of working before rolling them out to the organization at large.
Tracking and measurement - Time, financial impact, and behavior are the three factors that drive successful Lean implementation. We work with our clients to set specific milestones to keep their lean programs on track, ensure that they deliver the expected bottom-line impact, and identify risks early. We also make sure that program metrics are tied to the overall strategic goals of the organization.
